Weekending

I promised Christmasy pictures this weekend.

. . . uh.

I'm going to take a rain check on that until ... tomorrow? Probably? 

The house is clean, the tree is up (the TREE! it's UP! it's PERFECT!), and we're reveling in decorated bliss (and apple crisp and pecan pie). It's quite cozy and perfect.

And as decorated as we are, I still want to get a few leetle things to consider our house ready for Christmas. And let's be honest, I can't share pictures of an apartment that's only half-decorated. Geesh.

And we all knew it would take me a while to come through on pictures, didn't we? Here's why:

"Eric, that decoration is crooked."

"No, I think it's pretty centered."

"Come look at it from this angle."

"...I thought I had centered it."

"What if we..."

"But that's how I had it."

"I think it looks better now."

"Wenders, let's be honest. You're not going to be 'done' decorating for at least two more days."

"But we're almost finished now!"

"No, you're going to be adjusting things and moving stuff around and changing angles for days."

That conversation looks like it was almost a fight. It wasn't. I promise that in reality, it was much fuzzier than that. We're pretty fuzzy. Eric just knows me pretty well. He's really quite good at putting up with me, too.

But here's a teaser, since I did promise Christmas pictures.

Also, I guess I wasn't quite fair with my "guess-what-this-is-for-maybe-a-prize" dealio on Friday. The two little buggers aren't nearly all of the project. Here's what else I've been doing this weekend:
