Lately

We've been busy over and around here. 

Mostly eating cherries, which have rocketed their way to the top of Emma's Favorite Foods list.

And getting into all sorts of new things.

She chose Hemingway.

Of course she chose Hemingway.

Emma's begun to do the rock-back-and-forth-on-all-fours that babies do when they're on their way to crawling. This surprised us a bit ... we thought that since she's so adept at moving around by rolling, she might bypass crawling altogether. But no. Seems that she's only going to get more adept at moving. 

It was also surprising because, even though I've seen several babies do their rocking thing, and thought it was unbearably cute every time, I was totally unprepared for how cute my baby would be while doing it. She's so darn proud of herself, too.
