Cozy Weekend

I'm calling last weekend "cozy," even though yesterday hit 91*.
You see, a) I want it to be cooler, and b) the weekend did start out cool, with the first mug of tea of the fall, and Emma's first experience with tea, sucked off my finger (in very bad lighting).

We spent most of the weekend wearing long sleeves and comfy pants and socks.
Emma got her first cold. Eric and I took turns sleeping in Saturday and Sunday, too.

I made these super easy muffins.
Which Emma decided were her new favorite food.
Seeing as she complained any time one of us took a bite instead of feeding it to her.

We're still working on communicating that kissing does not necessarily involve teeth.

We looked at friends' pictures of their sweet new babies.
This made Emma very happy -- she loves looking at pictures of babies; she gets all squeaky and giggly.

Emma showed off her loungewear, about which Eric might have said something like, "she looks like she could be hanging out around the Pi Phi house." (*ahem* Amber, Bess, Lauren, Jessica, Marissa, Mary, et al.)

And then it got warm enough to put something lighter on.
That's a 3-6 month skirt my 9 month old is wearing. And yet we hear people exclaim that she's big for her age. She's not, people. She's only in the 25th percentile, you dummies. She's just... loud.

And, um, smart.

And curious.

  2. Fun! We're trying to pretend it's cozy too. Audrey was wearing those pants with the heart yesterday ;-) Today we're expecting temps in the 90s again. Looks like you all had lovely family time!

  3. Such sweet little clothes! And lounge clothes are extra-important. Boys are stupid and don't know what they are talking about.
